Last weekend was a great weekend of celebrations to commemorate 60 years of Pimlico State High School.
On Saturday, our talented students entertained a large crowd at our first Pimlico in the Park concert. The free concert provided an avenue for our students to showcase their talents after our annual variety concert had to be cancelled due to ongoing flood repair work at the Civic Theatre. We were honoured to participate in the Northern Australia Festival of Arts and thank NAFA and the Townsville City Council for their support.
Following this, we had 50 of our foundation students - the 59ers - along
with 2 foundation teachers attend a gala dinner on Saturday night,
reminiscing about the early years of Pimlico and catching up with old
On Sunday, the school hosted tours, memorabilia displays & live entertainment by our Big Band.
Finally on Monday, several of our foundation students joined some of our current student leaders for a tree planting event to mark 60 years of excellence in education at Pimlico.
