Guidance Officer


The school has access to a full time Guidance Officer to assist students in meeting their personal, educational and vocational needs, while at school.

The Guidance Officer :

  • provides a comprehensive guidance and counselling program
  • provides advice to students concerning complex educational, personal, vocational and institutional issues
  • prepares and implements professional and personal skill development programs, on a range of guidance and counselling topics


The Guidance Officer can assist with :

  • counselling (personal, educational, vocational)
  • parent interviews
  • student advocacy
  • enrolments
  • teacher consultations
  • facilitation of visiting speakers
  • liaising with other government agencies
  • psychometric assessment and ascertainment
  • presentation of workshops
