 Pimlico State High School is one of Queensland’s most successful education centres.  This success is not due alone to the high quality of the school’s administration, teachers and the students that it attracts, but it is also due to the participation and involvement of parents, carers and the wider community.

The involvement of parents and citizens in our school performs an important role that is only too often understated.  The involvement of parents and citizens at Pimlico State High School:

  • Bridges a gap and builds relationships between students and the wider community;
  • Presents first hand to the students that the community cares about them and wants to support them achieve their potential;
  • Displays to students the virtues of volunteering; and
  • Establishes shared pride, where students and parents are proud of the school and the part they have played in making it better.

At Pimlico, there are many opportunities to become involved in the school, such as:

  • Becoming actively involved in the P&C or one of the sub-committees (MSG, Team Sailing, PAC Building);
  • Volunteering at the Canteen;
  • Helping students with literacy reading programs.
