Townsville Secondary School Sports (TSSS)

Block Sport

TSSS is an association that aims to sponsor and organise sporting competitions for all schools throughout the Townsville district. It caters for students from schools to be involved in participation based programs including Block Sport. Block Sport is generally conducted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school hours on a home and away basis, or at a central location. Pimlico enters teams into these competitions when a teacher is available to coach and ample students are committed to participate.

Townsville and Northern Trials

TSSS also organises representative trials for students from each school to have the opportunity to excel in their chosen sport. From here they may go on to represent the Northern Region or Queensland. For students to attend any trials they are to see our Sports Co-ordinator Nicole Fall (MPS staffroom) to nominate and receive a permission form. Nominations close 3 school days before the event. For students to attend Northern trials a fee of $11 will need to be paid via the link on the permission form. A screen shot or a physical copy of the receipt needs to be shown to our Sports Co-ordinator so the form can be signed allowing participation in the trials.
