On enrolling at the school, each student is placed in a CARE Group. Each CARE Group belongs to one of four House Groups – Alexandra, Pandanus, Phoenix and Royal.
Each CARE Group has approximately 25 students from one year level only, and is under the care and supervision of a CARE Teacher, also from the same House Group.
CARE Classes meet with the CARE Teacher each day from 8.45am to 9.00am. Classes meet in a designated room or in the Multi Purpose Shelter (for Years 8, 9, 10, 11 students) or the Performing Arts Centre (Year 12), once a week for a Year Level parade.
The CARE Group aims :
to provide students with care and support within a small group of peers
to provide students with a member of staff who has the welfare of the students as the primary responsibility
to encourage school and house spirit
to encourage active participation in all school activities
to promote and enhance students’ social skills
to facilitate administrative tasks which relate to students
